| 'Run to School' is an event organised by the UK charity, PEAS. PEAS aims to widen access to education in Africa by founding and developing sustainable, low-fee secondary schools. Our current work is focussed in Uganda. Many students in Uganda walk long distances everyday to get to school. They're the lucky ones. Most have no access to secondary education. When you 'Run to School' you help Build a School - and hundreds more young people get the education they long for. All proceeds from this event will go towards the creation of a new, affordable secondary school for young people in Uganda. Find out more about the work of PEAS by visiting our website here. | Above: An English class at Onwards & Upwards Secondary School - founded by PEAS. Below: The main classroom blocks at the school. |
For any team raising over £2000, or any individual raising over £500, their name will be featured on a plaque to commemorate the opening of the new school. Should you visit Uganda, you can visit the school you helped to build!
